Individuals

I work people who want to clarify their identity and live more authentically.

I also work with anyone who lives an alternative lifestyle.  This includes blended families and unconventional family systems, as well as poly-amorous, multi-partner, and any other way people can and want to be in relationship with one another.

Couples

I work with couples who are at an impasse or facing separation or divorce.  I help them learn better ways to celebrate one another in a way that is authentic and honest.  I also help people manage the difficulties of being vulnerable and open in relationship as well as help them let go of resentment.

Furthermore, I provide alternative perspectives to what is “normal” and how to buck cultural expectations and judgments with regard to marriage/relationships.  I help couples develop their own rules and ways of being in relationship to one another despite the “cultural norms”.

I also help separating couples understand how to manage difficult feelings as they move towards redefining their relationship from an intimate one to friendship.

Children/Youth

I specialize in working with high risk children and youth.  These are children that are at risk of out-of-home placement, kids that are presenting with intense behaviors, and any kid that is having difficulty in any area of his/her life.

Parents

I specialize in working with parents who strive for a loving and authentic relationship with their spirited child/youth.  I work with parents who are willing to go out on a limb and try something totally different and off the “beaten” parenting path.

Families

Family systems are works of art that are constantly changing.  I offer solid, solution-focused, strength-based sessions that will boost your family functioning by building stronger and more loving relationships.  It may even be fun despite the hard work.
